paintings

Spontaneous 'doodle painting' I wanted to see what happens when I paint like I draw, without planning and just letting myself have fun. I love paint, it has a different sensual quality to pens, and it's definitely a different kind of work using brushes and colour.

Lately I have been trying out more form and less lines, simplifying shapes, but enhancing depth, pretty happy with the results so far...

(I still like the black outlines however, they reflect my tv cartoon upbringing!)

 'Symbiosis 1'
acrylic on canvas 100 x 70 cm 2012

Two small paintings, an experiment with acrylic and marker on canvas, the colours were very bright and the edges very defined, it was fun to do,I think I'll do some more soon..

30 x 30cm pen and acrylic on canvas 2013

I love to work in black and white, with paints I can also play with greys... I love the 3D effect I got with this one, I could imagine this as a large street sculpture in concrete..
